To DIY or Not To DIY?

I enjoy a good DIY project. I'll admit, I might love thinking about making them more than I love actually making them. For example, this amazing DIY Wall Decor from Ruche is super cool and totally up my alley - but would I really make it? If I did - where would I put it? The problem with me is that I am a total perfectionist and if my creations don't turn out exactly like it's inspiration, it's going right in the trash. Does anyone else feel the same or am I alone on this?

I Fished My Wish!

YAY - I got a present from my wish list! My amazing sister-in-law got me a copy of Jane Eyre from the Penguin Clothbound Classics Collection. They are even prettier in person than on the website. Thanks Amy - I love it!!!

A new look for old classics

I never feel guilty when I buy a book. I never experience buyer's remorse. I never look at my book shelves and ask myself why I bought this one or that one. I would certainly not feel guilty if I purchased every one of these clothbound classics! Look at them - each one is more beautiful than the next.

What's are you afraid of?

This book by Nedko Solakov caught my eye at Indigo the other day. 99 Fears is a compilation of ink drawings depicting real and imagined fears, phobias and insecurities of everyday life. It's a little dark and strange but something about it wonderfully beautiful and charming.

"What a (temporary) relief! I will be able to be scared in the future too."
"Two people are dancing. They feel especially happy because they left all their daily fears aside in order to feel more free and relaxed. They will collect the fears back later."
